17 weeks

Your pregnancy: 17 weeks

How your baby's growing:

Your baby's skeleton is changing from soft cartilage to bone, and the umbilical cord — her lifeline to the placenta — is growing stronger and thicker. Your baby weighs 5 ounces now (about as much as a turnip), and she's around 5 inches long from head to bottom. She can move her joints, and her sweat glands are starting to develop.

Not much to complain about this week pregnancy wise. Feeling fairly energetic, as I ACTUALLY did some much needed cleaning in the house this past weekend. As well as cleaning a ceiling fan! I have gained a few pounds, and people continue to comment on the baby bump... which they are actually referring to my fat roll!! at this point in pregnancy, the baby is still nice and snug at the pelvic line. ( I think it just happened to push up and out on my fat roll!!)
Less than 2 weeks till the ever popular ultrasound, which is more important than finding out the gender of the little swimmer. I am hoping they find this baby as beautiful as my first! I have a small feeling for girl this time, but all my dreams are about having a girl (which is the same as pregnancy with Owen). So I really don't know. I was hoping for a boy, but as time passes I become a lot more open to the idea of a daughter- though I am not any less scared or intimidated!!!!! I want a healthy baby :)
