Oh how I love my 2 year old. The boy amazes me everyday. He loves this 10ish wood piece Elmo farm puzzle. Its says ages 3-5, and he puts it together and takes it apart about a 100 times a day, in one sitting no less. He gets it put together and throws his arms in the air "i did it", triumphantly each and every time!
With this level of skill, I have yet to understand these tantrums that occur at the drop of a hat. Or when he decides that you didn't let him do something the way HE wanted to do it. The other night it was how I didn't let him get in the bath tub the right way. You would have thought the end of the world was coming.. the next day after a potty visit, I didn't let him dry his hands HIS way. Perhaps if he wasn't screaming so loud, it wouldn't bother me AS much, but I find him to be very smart, and wish he would communicate in words (rather than large tears and screams) the things he wants to do. I am also thankful for him wanting to be so independent, but I try to tell him that everybody needs help sometimes. Just with the picky eating, it shall soon pass too right???
