27 weeks:
This week, your baby weighs almost 2 pounds (like a head of cauliflower) and is about 14 1/2 inches long with her legs extended. She's sleeping and waking at regular intervals, opening and closing her eyes, and perhaps even sucking her fingers. With more brain tissue developing, your baby's brain is very active now. While her lungs are still immature, they would be capable of functioning — with a lot of medical help — if she were born now. Chalk up any tiny rhythmic movements you may be feeling to a case of baby hiccups, which may be common from now on. Each episode usually lasts only a few moments, and they don't bother her, so just relax and enjoy the tickle
Wow, I mean, holy cow, I mean... I guess according to some, this is my last week in the second trimester. I was dealing much better with just about everything this 2nd trimester. I don't think I mentioned the new Dr I saw, or any of that, or maybe I did. Long and short was I gained a bunch of lbs in a few short weeks, but the overall is still fine. She told me to workout 30 min. 5 days p/w! Really lady? I am lucky to have enough steam to get stuff done around the house after working and getting Owen to bed. So I make a god effort of a few minutes in the am a couple days a week :) Otherwise I really liked her, so wahoo! The baby is still beating the crap out of me, but she does have long periods of quiet time (which I hope translates to a good sleeper!
