34 weeks

Your baby now weighs about 4 3/4 pounds (like your average cantaloupe) and is almost 18 inches long. Her fat layers – which she'll need to regulate her body temperature once she's born – are filling her out, making her rounder. Her skin is also smoother than ever. Her central nervous system is maturing and her lungs are continuing to mature as well. If you've been nervous about preterm labor, you'll be happy to know that babies born between 34 and 37 weeks who have no other health problems generally do fine. They may need a short stay in the neonatal nursery and may have a few short-term health issues, but in the long run, they usually do as well as full-term babies.

I feel like we are on a great marathon.... never knowing when it will end, but struggling to find the finish. Amelia's room is mostly set up, and I feel like the house is never going to be clean enough.

I feel like she is so low that she will just drop out, though we all know that isn't possible. Swelling is occurring by night, every night. The other day it seemed to happen during the day as well. I am uncomfortable sitting for long periods of time, and soon I don't think I will be able to sleep lying down either. I do prefer to stand- but I cannot do this at work- I may get in trouble for visiting....

I can really feel her moving all over, meaning in every inch of my innards, also meaning that she is growing.
Ok, enough complaining for this week! s seen in the 33 vs 33 weeks post, I am carrying quite low, and I am sure this is causing this wonderful discomfort. Other than that, everything is great :) OH yeah, I am VERY moody, all the time, but that is all.
